    • Home Depot — On April 19th, Home Depot began giving out one Ecosmart compact fluorescent bulb to each customer — no purchase necessary!
    • Disney Store — Like everything else at Disney, it seems that “Recycling is Magic!”  If you bring three empty plastic bottles in to a participating Disney store on April 22nd, they will give you a free reusable water bag, with a value of $8.50, while supplies last.
    • Target – Get your free reusable Target tote bag with any purchase, beginning April 19th!

    • Earthbound Farm – If you visit their site HERE, you can click around on a picture of a kitchen to make pledges to “green up” your lifestyle.  In return — free reusable bag if you are among the first 10,000 people to make the pledge each week this month.

    • Walgreens — On Earth Day, get 15% off total purchase and a free reusable bag.
    • Daily Green — Visit their site HERE for 30 deals on eco-friendly and organic products.
    • Pottery Barn Kids — Participating stores are having storytime for the little ones, teaching them about how to be earth friendly.  They are also giving out a free gift that can be planted at home by little fingers.
    • Pizza Fusion –  Are you lucky enough to live near a Pizza Fusion?  If so, check out all their Earth Week deals and initiatives HERE before heading out to enjoy your organic/all-natural pizza!

I’m sure there are more out there — but this should get you started.  While you’re at it, please consider stopping by craigslist, freecycle, ebay and other sites where you can pick up something second hand.  What’s better than that for the Earth??

  • Thanks for the list! I “won” an earthbound bag…hooray for earth day! We got “new” shirts for the occasion at goodwill

  • We ate at Pizza Fusion Sunday.  The food was good.  It felt *slightly* gouge-y that they charged us $13 for a large pizza PLUS an “extra” $8 to make it gluten-free.  You can ONLY buy gluten-free pizza in the large size.  So we spent $100.  On lunch.  YIKES.

  • I went shopping at Home Depot on Sunday and did not get a compact fluorecent bulb.,.not even with a purchase. But I did get two for one deal on peat pot herbs…yay? But thanks to your xanga I have an Earthbound Farms bag from last year :)

  • @thisistam - hooray!@ordinarybutloud - yowza — I did not know about the gouging of the gluten-sensitive.  Pricey, for sure….especially since the large isn’t really as large as a regular pizza place.@planetx - ok – good news on the bag and the pots, but where is your light bulb???  Go back and demand your light bulb!!!
